Can I haz one with the Dinan 5.7L stroker V10 in it?
![]() 11/22/2014 at 18:43 |

No. That engine is too good for that vehicle.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 19:05 |

Plus it could be installed in a regular BMW with a modified suspension at a lower cost!

True. I'm just not a fan of the F82.

me either but shh, don't tell anyone
![]() 11/22/2014 at 19:12 |

I won't. It's just something about that odd looking face.

I don't like the motor

Well, I've resigned myself to the fact that all modern engines will be low capacity and turbocharged so that doesn't bother me too much. However, I can understand why companies can't make them sound good like the Noble M600 or this:

I like dat AMG motor SO much better
I like small TT V8s
Turbo I6s, not so much ...
![]() 11/22/2014 at 19:45 |

Twin turbo V8s are the best turbo engines in my opinion.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 19:51 |

I agree
They are the perfect small capacity engines
V12s can be N/A
![]() 11/22/2014 at 19:58 |

V12s should always be N/A.

and

Put that away! You and Brian both know I have a soft spot for Astons.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 20:31 |

At least that car is in the realm of possibility for you if you really wanted it bad enough. The GTO will never be possible for any of us...
![]() 11/22/2014 at 20:35 |

Well, if I was going to get an Aston again, I would buy another DBS or swap the engine from the Vantage V12 S into a standard Vantage V12. The Zagato's bottom is a bit odd.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:01 |

DBS! That would be sweet
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:17 |

They are sweet, especially the later models. Such a beautiful car as well.

I kind of like the longer coupes better than the V12 Vantage
I know the Vantage is lighter. But the bigger coupes look so "right"
![]() 11/22/2014 at 23:23 |

Thank you. I keep telling Brian that the true GT Astons are better but he just doesn't listen.

He is a sports car fundamentalist. He values less weight over all else. He's very into Auto X and track days, which I understand. But a good road car is more than a lap time destroyer.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 23:45 |

My thoughts exactly. I would much have a car that handles well but still is supremely comfortable and usable, then one that can set great times.
However, I can't blame him for being like that. He is still young and I was probably the same way at his age. Also, who knows, maybe in a few years a car will be able to set great times and be supremely comfortable. I know the 12c is getting quite close.

You just created a product idea!
McLaren sedan! With the magic suspension.
![]() 11/23/2014 at 00:58 |

I could definitely see it. Besides, they do need an F12 competitor.
![]() 11/23/2014 at 12:50 |

or an FF competitor. McLaren shooting break!
![]() 11/23/2014 at 14:14 |
|
True.
![]() 11/23/2014 at 15:13 |
|
it could use a detuned version of the P1's power train !
![]() 11/23/2014 at 15:14 |
|
That would work, especially if the turbos were downsized for better response.
![]() 11/23/2014 at 15:19 |

they can make it to see version to compete with the F12 and A shooting break to compete with the FF
Make it happen McLaren!
